The science quiz aims to inculcate a spirit of scientific enquiry and analytical thinking amongst the students of High School (IX, X) and Middle School (VII, VIII) of Chhattisgarh State. Science Quiz Competitions are supported by Chhattisgarh Council of Science and Technology and organized by State Council of Educational Research & Training (SCERT). Quiz competitions are organized at four levels, Block, District, Zone and State level on yearly basis.The science quiz aims to inculcate in the minds of young students a spirit of scientific enquiry and analytical thinking, to provide a platform to the budding scientists for exchanging thoughts and to nurture a feeling of national integration among young talents from every corner of the State.

In Chhattisgarh there are 146 Blocks and 27 Education Districts. 27 Districts are divided into 9 Zones.

• Raipur Zone : Raipur, Gariyaband, Balodabazar, Mahasamund
• Durg Zone : Durg, Rajnandgaon, Balod
• Bilaspur Zone : Bilaspur, Korba, Janjgir Champa
• Kawardha Zone : Kawardha, Mungeli, Bametara
• Jagdalpur Zone : Jagdalpur, Kondagaon
• Kanker Zone : Kanker, Dhamtari, Narayanpur
• Dantewada Zone : Dantewada, Sukma, Bijapur
• Ambikapur Zone : Ambikapur, Korea, Balrampur, Surajpur
• Raigarh Zone : Raigarh, Jashpur Nagar

Eligibility

The students of High School (IX, X) and Middle School (VII, VIII) (Govt, Non-Govt., Tribal Dept., Central Schools and Navodaya Schools) of Chhattisgarh State are eligible to compete.

Award

In State level 90 participants are given Rs. 1000/- each and a set of book and the selected 18 participants are given cash prize of Rs. 3000/- each.

State Level Science Exhibition

State Level Science Exhibition is supported by Chhattisgarh Council of Science & Technology to stimulate students from standard IX -XII and teachers to take active interest in science and to provide a platform to nurture their creativity. State Level Science Exhibition is organised by State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) on yearly basis at four levels: Block, District, Zone & State. Various activities: exhibition competition, science drama competition, quiz competition, science club and science seminar are organised under State level science exhibition.
